Darth Vader's armour from The Empire Strikes Back is something of an upgrade! Now sleek and shiny instead of a little battered. Epoxy fibreglass is used for a sturdy construction. 
 
The look of the armour varies throughout the movie, switching from the hanging shoulder bells (or paudrons, if you prefer), to the flush mounted and hinged ones that are seen on the Return of the Jedi armour. Both are correct for the movie and if you're building a costume, either one can be used. Those with a larger build might prefer the extra width that the flush shoulders give you. NEW - If you are a costumer and want to lighten the load a little (Vader is a heavy costume!) we are now able to offer the armour made with carbon fibre. Externally it is painted exactly the same as the standard armour, but you can expect a 30% weight reduction by opting for carbon fibre instead of fibreglass. The weave of the carbon fibre cloth is visible only on the inside of the armour.
